HyFillers, DrHAACH home version of Dermal fillers, can soften facial creases and wrinkles and restore the youthfulness to the face, plump up lips, fill in scars, sunken cheeks, and skin depressions, create a more defined nose bridge or sharper tip, and into the chin to make the face heart-shaped, offering the benefits of a surgical face lift without the downtime.
Dermal filler injections are non-surgical and are typically completed during a quickie office visit. To start the ball rolling, an initial consultation will take place, during which our doctors will discuss your concerns and goals.
Pre-treatment consultation
During your consultation, your doctor will evaluate your areas of concern and a thorough review of your medical history will be done. While the risks associated with dermal fillers are minimal, fully disclosing your medical history prior to treatment is crucial. As certain existing allergies, skin and neurological conditions or medications can jeopardise your safety or the end results. Informing your doctor if you have been taking NSAIDs (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen) or other blood thinners is significant as these drugs could increase the likelihood of bruising. Thus, full disclosure is always best.
Commencing the injectable filler treatment
Just before the actual treatment begins, the area will be cleaned and a topical anesthetic may be given to numb the area prior to the start of injections. Many filler products also contain lidocaine, a mild anaesthetic, which is intended to help minimise discomfort during and after the treatment. Once the numbness takes effect, the doctor will then inject a precise amount of filler strategically beneath the skin.
Depending on the product and the areas treated, you should be able to notice results immediately after receiving filler injections. Some patients experience mild bruising and swelling but these are temporary and should subside over the following days after treatment. You will be able to go back to your normal activities right after the procedure but your aesthetician may ask you to hold off on exercise and other strenuous activity.
In what ways do fillers help?
Although less effective in dealing with excess saggy skin, these fillers help add volume and provide immediate results at a fraction of the cost of surgery. However, these treatments are not permanent and must be repeated as well as maintained.
Dermal fillers are sometimes used in conjunction with other aesthetic treatments such as BOTOX injections and Thread Lifts. Our aesthetic doctor will assess your needs and recommend one or a combination of treatments to achieve your desired results.
What should I expect during the procedure?
As there is minimal discomfort during this straightforward process because topical numbing cream will be applied in advance, the overall procedure if fairly pain-free and will be over before you know it.
Is there any downtime and how long will it be for?
Temporary bruising at the injected areas may be expected but bruising should go away in about 3 to 7 days.
